4:10 PM - 4:50 PM Case study: How SMEs or Small Operation Teams can Maximize the Benefit of RPA with a Limited Budget and Resources

Matthew Crockett, Director - Finance & Technology, Crown World Mobility
With 5000+ employees spreading across 250 offices and 55 countries, Crown World Mobility was facing some unique challenges when they started to launch RPA from their Hong Kong shared services center which specializes in outsourced Financial Services and local billing on behalf of the Crown group for key account client engagements. The team provide clients with simpler and more efficient, cost effective solutions, to meet a complex mix of global and local needs with operational excellence and schedule adherence.
As a partially automated environment already with macros and file imports, without the advantage of scale of the much larger MNC companies, this lean and highly focused team with limited resources had to think out of the box in order to be quickly successful with RPA. With the help of a small consulting firm and free RPA software, within 3 months of initiating the project, Crown has successfully implemented RPA and achieved a return on investment in quality, cost and employee engagement. This case study will examine how small and medium-sized enterprises can implement RPA successfully with a limited budget and resources, plus a dash of creativity.
